Founded in 2011 by four buddies who wondered if any of their neighbors liked to ride Harleys, Indians and custom bar hoppers having a good time in the hills, high plains and twisting roads of the Rocky Mountain West. We created a character - the Bad Little Bird - as a metaphor for the blending of life-long love for motorcycles, busy professional schedules, our craving for the wild open places in our western cowboy heritage and the graceful, playful speed and spirit of the hummingbirds who return every summer to our homes flashing about from watering hole to watering hole.
On a warm spring day in 2011, a man was cleaning up his Harley wishing there were more bikers in his neighborhood to ride with.
The season’s first hummingbird appeared, intrigued by the bright colors and shining chrome of the Harley...
The hummingbird came to rest on the bike’s speedo and BOOM—the bird and the man become one...
That day, the Bad Little Bird was born to ride freely through the mountains and twisties of Colorado, howling wolves pouring out of the pipes…
having a little fun at local watering holes along the way...
In 2016, the Bad Little Bird celebrated its 5th year anniversary with the Cinco de Birdie year...
And in 2021, the 10th year anniversary with the X Bird…
The club was founded in 2011 by four residents of Castle Pines in Douglas County, Colorado. These founders engaged with the other motorcycle clubs in the region to gain their support for the Castle Pines Motorcycle Club, our patch, and the single purpose—have fun. Our club patches are all hand-painted leather and one of kind.
